Uso de anticonceptivos y satisfacción sexual en mujeres en edad reproductiva del cantón Loja

Resumen

Introducción: La salud sexual y reproductiva constituye un componente del bienestar femenino; sin embargo, la relación entre el uso de métodos anticonceptivos y la satisfacción sexual continúa siendo controversial a nivel local. Objetivo: Identificar la asociación entre el uso de anticonceptivos y la satisfacción sexual en mujeres en edad reproductiva del cantón Loja, Ecuador. Material y Método: Se realizó un estudio transversal analítico en 580 mujeres de 18 a 49 años del cantón Loja. La satisfacción sexual se midió mediante la Escala de Satisfacción Sexual Subjetiva Breve (ESSS-B), clasificada en tres categorías: baja, promedio y alta. El uso de anticonceptivos se definió como una variable dicotómica según el reporte actual de uso. Se estimaron modelos logit ordenados bivariados y multivariados, ajustados por variables sociodemográficas y reproductivas. Resultados: El 68% de las mujeres reportó usar anticonceptivos y, entre ellas, predominó el uso de métodos modernos (96%). El puntaje promedio de satisfacción sexual fue de 19,78 puntos, correspondiente a un nivel promedio. El uso de anticonceptivos se asoció positivamente con mayores niveles de satisfacción sexual en el modelo bivariado (OR=1,948; IC95%: 1,16–3,26) y en el modelo ajustado (ORa=2,176; IC95%: 1,28–3,69). El número de hijos mostró una asociación negativa con la satisfacción sexual (OR=0,757; IC95%: 0,61–0,93). Conclusiones: El uso de anticonceptivos se asoció con mayores probabilidades de presentar niveles más altos de satisfacción sexual en mujeres del cantón Loja. Estos hallazgos resaltan la importancia de fortalecer la consejería en planificación familiar desde un enfoque integral que incorpore el bienestar sexual femenino.
